My NOVA lesson plan

The Reading Assignment is posted on www.padlet.com My lesson plan: This lesson plan is directed for Advanced-Intermediate Arabic learners (adults). Pre-reading/listening: In this phase, students will be given the opportunity to discuss their favorite musical instruments and songs to elicit the previous knowledge from students and to motive them. Vocabulary Checking and Comprehension will be emphasized as well. Then, I will start showing students some YouTube videos for individual Arabic musical instruments. Then, I will ask them if this piece of music is happy or sad mood. TPR activity: Through this activity students will attempt to recognize the Arabic musical instrument that they have listened to. They will be given vocabulary cards that include the names of the Arabic musical instruments. All these activities lead to comprehensible input and achieve the interpretive mode and the interpersonal mode as well. The interpretive mode will be emphasized through a reading text and listening ( considering while the reading and post reading activities that lead to output) The Reading Assignment: Students will listen and take notes:

What I've learned today

So far, it's a very productive workshop. I've learned how to design cartoons utilizing this good website: http://www.toondoo.com/cartoon/6435951 I've also learned how to create a video utilizing Youtube. It's not complicated at all. I just need to remember the steps. 1. take a video using IPad. 2. upload the video on my computer. 3. upload the video to Youtube. 4. edit the video on YouTube.com/editor I'm amazed by how much I've learned in such short time. Here is our group YouTube Video:
